RAVING REVIEW: If you’ve seen the Christmas and Halloween backing shows, you’ll feel at home here. While the idea may not be entirely original, the addition of the whimsical world of Dr. Seuss adds an undeniably fun element to the show.

In Dr. Seuss's world, the desserts are divine
With flavors so bold; they'll make your taste buds shine
From green eggs, and ham to cakes that are pink
The desserts in Dr. Seuss's world will make you think

Of all the fun and magic, that can be found
In the whimsical world, where desserts abound
So grab your whisk, and mix up some fun
And let your imagination, go wild and run

Okay so maybe I asked the new Chat Bot Artificial Intelligence app to help whip up a  rhyme related to the show. I think it did a pretty good job; not quite the same heart that Seuss had but still fun.

Another hit for Freevee, in my opinion, they’re adding a solid library of original content that covers a wide range of topics and genres. In a nutshell, this series follows bakers tasked with creating desserts inspired by the books of Dr. Seuss; each episode focuses on a different classic book.

Seeing all these creations that are thought up on the fly is pretty impressive. Gravity-defying outcomes that looked like they were right at home in the world of Dr. Seuss. Not to mention the challenges many bakers had, creating delicious foods from odd combinations. My favorite was when one team was given beets and garlic as two ingredients they had to use.

The show wasn’t just about what these incredible creations tasted but also what they looked like (the graphic designer, in me, appreciated that.) One team had “points” deducted for having the colors of the Cat in the Hat’s hat in the wrong order. Little things like that are essential, especially when dealing with these characters with worldwide recognition.

This series will satisfy the inner child with bright colors, fun creations, and a connection to these iconic stories that many hold dear. Not to mention the great backstories that many contestants had. So no matter if you’re a fan of Dr. Seuss, baking shows, or heartwarming stories, this is the series for you!
